BMD contracted Global Civil and Mining to supply a Wirtgen 2500SM to cut material for the Carmichael Rail alignment project. The project was completed over a 3 month period during the wet season, the surface miner was able to continue working without delay. A total of 71’840m3 was cut out of the rail alignment and was reused as fill material.
